I. I understand Shadowbox isn't a traditional theater, so what are the rules for audience members?

Shadowbox reserves the right to ask any patron(s) to leave the premises/show for any reason, which may include, but is not limited to: intoxication, disruptive and/or inappropriate behavior (whatever we deem "disruptive" or "inappropriate").

      

II. Can I get a refund or a discount on my tickets?

A. Refunds
SHADOWBOX HAS A NO-REFUND POLICY, ONCE YOUR RESERVATION IS MADE, YOUR RESERVATION IS NON-REFUNDABLE.

B. Discounts
1. We offer discounted tickets to seniors and students.
2. Shadowbox defines "senior" as anyone 55 years of age or older.
3. Student discounts are available for anyone 18 years of age or younger.  (College students may also receive a student discount, but must present a valid student ID to receive the discount.)
4. Group discounts are sometimes available. Call the box office directly to find out the discount for your particular group (rates vary by size of the group and the day you want to attend). Columbus: 614-416-7625 / Newport: 859-957-7625

      

III. Can I reserve a specific table for the show?

A. All seating at Shadowbox is general admission.  On the night you attend, you'll check-in at the box office and the box office attendant will assign you the best seats available for a party of your size.  If you have a specific seating request, please make it prior to being seated.
B. If your party wishes to be seated together, you MUST have at least 1/2 of your total party present when you check in at the box office.  This will then secure seats for the other 1/2 of your party until 15 minutes until show time.
C. ALL reservations are released 15 minutes prior to show time.  (Exception: Reservations for Friday & Saturday 10:30pm shows are held until 5 minutes prior to show time).

      

IV. So you guys have food? How does that work?

A. If you wish to order hot food  (Nachos, Pizza, Marinara Bread, 3-Cheese Bread) and have it delivered prior to show time, you must order it 15 minutes prior to the start of the show. You will hear a "hot food cut-offannouncement 15 minutes before show time. Any Hot Food orders taken after that announcement will be delivered at intermission.
B. Cold food orders (Chips and Salsa, Popcorn, Spinach Dip, salads, desserts) may be placed at any time prior to the start of the show and at intermission.
C. Once the show begins, there is no food service until intermission.

      

V. I heard you can drink during the show. Is there anything I should know about?

Shadowbox reserves the right to refuse service of alcohol to anyone, for any reason. This includes (but is not limited to) underage, intoxication or disruptive patrons.

A. Shadowbox is a theatre that happens to serve drinks, not a bar that provides entertainment.  Shadowbox provides a limited selection of alcoholic libations for purchase during the show; ask your server for details about our current bar menu and specials.  Patrons are encouraged to enjoy alcoholic drinks responsibly and without disturbing those around them.
B. Drink service stops at the beginning of the show, then resumes again at intermission.  After intermission, no further beverages may be purchased.
